Jeremy Jarmon’s Vision for the University of Kentucky Varsity Letter Association

As we embark on this new chapter for the Kentucky K Club, my vision is to help us strengthen our operational efficiency and our ties to the Lexington community and beyond. The initiatives outlined below reflect our commitment to honoring the K Club’s traditions while propelling our organization into an exciting future.

Immediate Priorities

1. Enhance Communication

  • Dedicated phone and Zoom account
  • Booking Calendar for easily scheduling meetings with Officers
  • Newsletter, website, social media, and surveys

2. Website Redesign

  • Redesign the K Club website to promote the organization, attract new donors and partners, and improve member engagement.
  • Incorporate modern features such as event calendars
  • org domain
  • Contact Us Page to direct inquiries to the appropriate people

3. Invest in K House to Maximize Rentals and Enhance Gameday

  • Evaluate and enhance the design and functionality of the K House to increase its appeal for rentals.
  • Ensure the space meets the needs of our members and guests.
  • Exploring having current student athletes on site for game day tailgates
  • Season and single game tent and catering packages for members/corporate partners

4. Branding and Marketing

  • Launch the UKVLA Media Network, featuring podcasts with notable members.
  • Use this platform to market the K Club, secure sponsorships, and share impactful stories from our community.

5. Membership and Engagement

  • Open house invitations for each coach and their staff this summer
  • Collect and verify accurate membership and prospective membership data.
  • Implement a survey for recent graduates to better understand their needs and interests.
  • Offer free one-year memberships to recent graduates to encourage engagement with the club.

6. Committment to Community

  • This year, we intend to transform our organization into a social innovation partner to support community health initiatives. We have had several conversations with members who expressed a desire to support children’s health and wellness initiatives.
