Trevard Lindley: All-American Cornerback, Artist, and K Club Contributor

Former Kentucky All-American cornerback Trevard Lindley has always played his own game whether it was on the field or in the studio. This year, The NFL and K Club took notice.

Trevard Lindley was the kind of cornerback who made quarterbacks look elsewhere. A lockdown defender with instincts, agility, and a competitive fire that defined his era at Kentucky. He earned All-American honors and left Lexington as one of the most respected defensive backs to ever wear the blue and white. He is fondly remembered for game-sealing interceptions in upsets against UGA and top-ranked LSU.

But Lindley has always had a second passion…one that didn’t require a helmet.  However, it required steady hands and great vision.

An Art Major with a Painter’s Eye

At Kentucky, Lindley was an Art major, spending hours in the studio when he wasn’t on the practice field. That creative discipline. The patience, the attention to detail, and the ability to see things differently turned out to be a perfect complement to his athletic instincts. And this year, that second talent took him to the biggest stage in sports.

Smocks & Jocks: A Super Bowl Moment

At this year’s Super Bowl, Lindley participated in the NFLPA Smocks & Jocks event. This is a showcase where athletes-turned-artists display and sell their original work. Lindley’s painting didn’t just hang on the wall. It sold. That’s right. A former Kentucky All-American cornerback sold an original painting at the Super Bowl.

Art on the Walls of the K House

Lindley hasn’t kept his talent to himself. This season, he generously donated his own artwork to the K Club’s K House (the Letterwinner gathering space on UK’s campus). His pieces now hang on the walls, adding color, personality, and meaning to a building that exists to honor Wildcats like him.

“I wanted to give something back,” Lindley said. “The K Club has done so much for Letterwinners. Being able to contribute my art was my way of saying thank you.”

A Wildcat for Life

From locking down SEC receivers to selling paintings at the Super Bowl, Trevard Lindley has proven that a Kentucky Letterwinner can excel in any arena. His legacy is one of excellence, creativity, and generosity. Thank you, Trevard, for sharing your gift with the K House and for reminding us that the most impressive Wildcats don’t just make plays. They make art.
